Overview
Cable 13 is an educational access channel operated by the School District of Waukesha. Our station can be found on Time Warner Cable and also viewed on the web at our USTREAM channel TV 13 or if it is a live event from a school on our SDW Events channel.

The channel schedule for programming can be found on the District web page.  The calendar is updated on Friday for the following week's programs. On the calendar you may have to use the limit function and select "Cable 13"

Programming
Content on Cable 13 covers four major areas.

1. All school board committees and subcommittees are shown live over the access channel and Ustream. These meetings are then cablecast numerous times as the schedule permits during the following seven days after the live broadcast.
2. Original programming including student concerts and events, classroom presentations, and community informational programs are broadcast throughout the school year.
3. A wide range of educational related programming from NASA, Fairfax County School District and other educational enrichment programs are broadcast during the year.  A new addition to the lineup is Classic Arts Showcase which shows a collection of modern and vintage clips of fine art and music. 
4. When the above programs are not being broadcast there is a district message board including key announcements of school calendars, dates and events, cable 13 schedule, student and staff accomplishments, emergency announcements and much more.

Ustream Channel
Besides being able to view cable 13 on the internet you can watch past board meetings at the site.  Also the board meetings bright light sections which highlights an educational program in the district can be viewed as a separate event.  Since internet connections are somewhat problematic depending on the bandwidth issues that may arise at our end or the user end programming quality may vary. Also copyright issues at certain times may not allow us to stream a program.
