In-District Transfers (School Choice)

The In-District Transfer (School Choice) application period has now ended for the 2013-2014 school year.

The In-District Transfer program is for residents of the School District of Waukesha who wish to attend a school other than their regular attendance area school. If you are considering attending a school within the district that is not your neighborhood school, you must complete an In-District Transfer Request form. The application period for school choice is January 1st - March 1st for the 2013-14 school year. If you are not a resident of the School District of Waukesha, please click here to go to the State of Wisconsin Open Enrollment Application website.

PLEASE NOTE: Hawthorne STEM Elementary will continue to accept school choice applications until April 26th. The SDW school board recently identified Hawthorne as a STEM Magnet school. For more information, Click Here.

The following schools are closed for School Choice and Open Enrollment:

Whittier Elementary

Butler Middle School

NOTE: The Dual Language 2-Way Program, Waukesha STEM Academies, Waukesha Academy of Health Professions (WAHP) and the Waukesha Engineering Preparatory Academy (WEPA) have separate program applications that will also need to be completed.

Families with students enrolling in KINDERGARTEN or in the School District of Waukesha for the first time should complete and submit enrollment paperwork to the attendance area school, by March 1st.
