The Business Office is responsible for all of the district's accounting, purchasing, and payroll needs for 1,500 plus employees. Major tasks in this area include processing all payments; receipting all revenue; investing all monies; accounting and financial review/reporting of all transactions; maintaining the district's fixed asset system and insurance coverages; providing for all local, state, and federal financial reports; and supporting the instructional program staff through recommendations for equipment purchases and volume bidding.
Since the district has moved to program and cost center budgeting, the demand for more detailed accounting/monitoring/reporting has increased dramatically.

If an accident results in the injured student seeing a doctor or going to the hospital, a Student Incident Report must be filed with the Business Office within the week. These are available by clicking the link above or a hard copy can be picked up at the school office.
The school district does not provide any type of health or accident insurance for injuries incurred by your child at school. Student accident insurance is available to students through Student Assurance Services, Inc. These forms are available at your neighborhood school. If you have any questions regarding this coverage, please contact Ryan Desch of Student Assurance Services, Inc. at 800-3278-2739 or ryand@sas-mn.com.
Recognizing that school buildings and equipment are primarily intended for the education of school district students, the board of education wishes to cooperate with community organizations and agencies in making school facilities available to serve the needs of youth in the district and community needs, wherever that use does not restrict regular academic, co-curricular or maintenance functions or conflict with the educational environment of the school.
Rental arrangements are made directly with the respective building principal and Building Rental Application forms are available thru the school as well. In some cases fees will be charged for the use of these facilities. See policy #1330 and #1330G for more information.
